Persistent pain after surgery
If you had radiofrequency or nerve decompression surgeries followed by rehabilitation exercises, and still have severe pain, you may be considered for major surgeries such as spinal fusion with or without disc replacement.
If you already had major fusion surgery, it is possible that you may have a complication, including development of adjacent spine disease. You may need extension of fusion surgery to treat this. You may also need repeat tests and surgery if there is hardware failure, infection, persistent pain and disability from untreated structural problem, worsening of nerve exam, or spinal emergencies.
